Return to Stillness
Yoga & Meditation Retreat
Ladakh, India
High in the Indian Himalayas lies Ladakh, a land of vast mountain landscapes, ancient Buddhist monasteries and centuries-old traditions, quite unlike anywhere else in India. Far from the noise and demands of everyday life, the vastness and quiet offer something increasingly rare: the space to slow down and reconnect with ourselves on a deeper level.
For eight nights, we'll stay at Nimmu House, a lovingly restored heritage home surrounded by orchards, gardens and mountains. Through daily yoga, breathwork and meditation, we'll have the opportunity to deepen our practice, while exploring the monasteries, villages and spiritual traditions of Ladakh adds a richness that stays with us long after we return home.
This is a retreat for anyone who wants more than time away.
Return to Stillness
A Journey of Self - Discovery in the Heart of the Himalayas
Ladakh, India 19th - 27th July 2027
The Practice
At the heart of this retreat is the opportunity to deepen your connection with yourself through yoga, breath work and meditation.
Yoga is so much more than the physical practice. It's a way of turning our attention inwards, moving beyond the constant activity of the mind and discovering a deeper sense of peace and connection within ourselves.
We will practice twice a day. Our morning sessions will gradually build into a flowing, breath-led practice, bringing together movement, pranayama and meditation. In the evenings, we'll slow things down with gentler, more restorative practices, creating space to unwind, reflect and absorb the experiences of the day.
Practising amidst the vast Himalayan landscape offers a beautiful opportunity to step away from the distractions of everyday life and spend time exploring our inner world.
As we will be at altitude, our first days will be particularly gentle, giving everyone time to acclimatise before gradually developing the practice.
The Beauty of Ladakh
Ladakh is often described as the Land of High Passes, a remote Himalayan region known for its dramatic mountain landscapes, vast open skies, beautiful valleys and ancient Buddhist heritage.
Here, monasteries sit high above the valleys, and Buddhist traditions remain deeply woven into everyday life.
It is a place of extraordinary contrasts, where rugged mountains meet green valleys and traditional villages, and where life continues at a very different pace from the one most of us are accustomed to.
During our stay, we'll have the opportunity to explore this fascinating region, experiencing its culture, monasteries and natural beauty while enjoying the magnificent surroundings of the Himalayas.
Nimmu House, Our Himalayan Sanctuary
Our home for eight nights will be Nimmu House, a beautifully restored traditional Ladakhi residence nestled amongst orchards and gardens, surrounded by the magnificent Himalayan mountains.
With its peaceful setting, traditional architecture and intimate atmosphere, Nimmu House offers a wonderful place to step away from the demands of everyday life and immerse ourselves in our yoga and meditation practice.
Accommodation is offered in charming heritage rooms within the original house and spacious glamping tents set amongst the gardens, allowing guests to enjoy the character and natural beauty of this special property.
Between our yoga sessions and excursions, there will be plenty of time to relax in the gardens, enjoy a massage, read, reflect or simply enjoy the extraordinary surroundings.
Beyond the Yoga Mat
During our time in Ladakh, we'll explore ancient Buddhist monasteries, traditional villages and the extraordinary Himalayan landscape. There will be optional excursions to Alchi Monastery and Leh, with the opportunity to experience early morning prayers at Thiksey Monastery.
There will also be time for walks through the surrounding villages and countryside, offering a glimpse into the culture, traditions and everyday life of this remarkable region.
Your Retreat Experience
Our days will begin with yoga, breath work and meditation, followed by breakfast. Depending on the day's plans, there will be time to explore Ladakh, relax in the gardens or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
We'll come together again in the evening for a gentler practice before dinner, with time throughout the retreat to relax and enjoy being somewhere so extraordinary.

What My Guests Say
“Don't be deceived by her girl-next-door exterior, Claire Wilkinson is a spiritual leader. During our week in Rishikesh, Claire drew a stressed-out crew of high-achieving professionals into a circle of bliss. Through yoga, meditation, chanting, pranayama, sound baths and mind-blowing Reiki, Claire stilled the crowd. We celebrated each other's transformation with laughter and joy. She showed all of us that 'inside is the best place to hang out!' No wonder she is so respected in this oldest of yoga communities.”
Melinda, London
“My recent retreat to the Himalayas with Claire was, without exaggeration, the best trip of my life, and truly life-changing in ways I'm still processing. Claire is a gifted yoga instructor, a deeply intuitive Reiki healer, and a sound bath practitioner whose talent creates an atmosphere of pure magic. But what makes her retreat so extraordinary goes far beyond her skills. Claire has cultivated meaningful connections in the India, and those relationships added a rich, authentic layer to the experience that no typical vacation could offer.”
